{Our mission is to make people feel at home, no matter where that home may be}
And beyond that, we envision a world where everyone has a home.
So what are we doing about it?

Our Why
Inhabitat was started with the insight that home is more than a place; it’s a feeling.
This belief is rooted in a pivotal moment from my teenage years, when I witnessed my grandmother visit the home she was forcibly removed from in the 40s - and I realised how deeply displacement impacts identity and belonging.
Having lived in 10 cities around the world, I’ve learnt it’s possible to create a new identity through home. This journey fuels my passion today and forms the foundation of my work.
Where It All Began
As a child, my world was filled with art and creativity. Free periods were spent in the school art studio, discovering new ways to express myself. One of my most cherished memories is from our time in Bahrain, when a man in a pickup truck piled high with stunning Persian rugs, sourced directly from artisans, would visit us every year. He’d go door to door, letting families choose favourites to keep or return the following week. It felt like Christmas every time, sifting through his collection and feeling the stories woven into each piece.
That early love for beautiful, meaningful objects has stayed with me, shaping my approach to design and the stories I bring to each space I create.
